Watch Nigeria engagement report
@WatchNigeriaNG - 62K followers on X
Measured over 6 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 27, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 6 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 0 interactions against 62K followers, an engagement rate of 0.001%. Posts are seen about 1.4K times each, and 0.036% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.24% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.47 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 6 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 50% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 223 interactions. Only 6 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 04:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 0% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | no effect | -2% to -1% | 42K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 240 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

SECURITY IS A RESPONSIBILITY THAT DEMANDS ACTION, NOT EXCUSES Since Governor Hyacinth Alia assumed office in 2023, Benue State has continued to witness devastating herder attacks across the three senatorial zones, with many communities suffering repeated losses of lives and property. This persistent insecurity raises serious questions about the state's preparedness and response mechanisms. Following the recent attack on Nobi community in Otukpo Local Government Area, Senator Abba Moro alleged that the Benue State Commissioner of Police had received intelligence before the attack but lacked the logistics to mobilize personnel promptly. He further claimed that attempts to reach the governor for intervention were unsuccessful. If these claims are accurate, they highlight the urgent need to strengthen security coordination and emergency response. Governor Alia also stated during an interview on Arise TV that the state has an early warning system capable of detecting potential security threats. However, the continued occurrence of deadly attacks naturally leads many citizens to ask an important question: if such a system exists, why has it not translated into timely prevention and protection of vulnerable communities? Equally concerning are allegations made by the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Michael Kaase Aondoakaa (SAN), who claimed that only N110 million was budgeted for security in the 2026 budget, while N4.5 billion was allocated for travels. These figures deserve public clarification because security should remain the foremost priority in a state battling persistent violence. Across Nigeria, several state governments are investing in modern security infrastructure. Governor Seyi Makinde's administration in Oyo State recently took delivery of DA42MN-G surveillance aircraft to support reconnaissance operations, complementing investments by other states in armored vehicles, drones, and operational logistics. These initiatives demonstrate that while governors may not constitutionally control the military or police, they can significantly enhance security operations through strategic funding, logistics, intelligence support, and collaboration with federal security agencies. The recurring narrative that governors have little or no responsibility for security should not become a shield against accountability. If state governments truly have no meaningful role in addressing insecurity, then a legitimate public debate should follow on the purpose and utilization of security votes allocated to state governments. Benue people deserve leadership that prioritizes the protection of lives above political distractions. The first duty of government is the security and welfare of the people. Citizens are therefore justified in demanding greater investment in security logistics, stronger inter-agency coordination, and measurable strategies that can prevent attacks rather than merely reacting after tragedies occur.

THE LION OF THE SOUTH EAST 🦁🇳🇬 These are just a few of the reasons why Nigerians proudly call H.E. Engr. David Nweze Umahi the Lion of the East. Between May 2023 and May 2026, the South East has witnessed an unprecedented wave of federal road and bridge projects under his leadership as Minister of Works. This is not politics—it is visible infrastructure backed by action. From the completed rehabilitation of the Enugu–Port Harcourt Road, the 23-span Eke Obinagu Flyover, the Enugu–Onitsha Dual Carriageway, and the New Artisan Bridge reconstruction, to the ongoing Enugu–Abakaliki–Ogoja Road, Afikpo–Okigwe Road, Abakaliki–Afikpo Road, Onitsha–Owerri Expressway, Aba–Owerri Road, Second Niger Bridge access roads, and many other strategic highways, the evidence is there for everyone to see. Beyond the mega projects, over 30 emergency intervention and rehabilitation projects have been executed across Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and adjoining states, restoring failed sections of federal roads, replacing damaged bridges, constructing culverts, and improving connectivity for millions of Nigerians. This is what leadership looks like—delivering projects that stimulate economic growth, improve safety, create jobs, and reconnect communities. History will remember Engr. David Nweze Umahi as a leader who matched words with action and transformed the South East into one of Nigeria's largest infrastructure construction zones. The Lion of the East is roaring through infrastructure, and the results speak louder than propaganda. 🦁🇳🇬 #RenewedHope #DavidUmahi #LionOfTheEast #InfrastructureFirst #SouthEastDevelopment #RoadRevolution
