Exploring the midwestern food landscape. Midwest Food Stories began in early 2016 as a passion project of commercial food photographer, Brad Iwen. The goal was to document chefs creating one formative and seminal dish. Every collaboration weaved an honest and one-of-a-kind narrative about a personal relationship with food. From those roots, Midwest Food Stories has evolved into a documentary food series that continues to establish an authentic connection between chef and viewer, but takes the storyline further by traveling the backroads from farm to kitchen while exploring America’s heartland and food culture along the way.
