Kuzey ve Doğu Suriye’de bir kadının saçlarının HTŞ’liler tarafından kesilmesine ve ganimet gibi davranılmasına karşı başlatılan “saç örme” direniş ve dayanışma kampanyasına katılan hemşire İkra Avcı, mesleğinden ihraç edildi. İkra Avcı, kadına yönelik şiddete ve kadın cinayetlerine tepki göstermek ve kadın dayanışmasını büyütmek için saçlarını ördü, bunu sosyal medyada paylaştı. Bunun üzerine gözaltına alındı, hakkında dava açıldı ve beraat etti. Şimdi ise bir hemşire olarak görev yaptığı kamu hastanesinden ihraç edildi. Bir hemşireyi, kadınların maruz bırakıldığı şiddete karşı barışçıl bir şekilde ses çıkardığı için mesleğinden etmek kabul edilemez. Kadınların maruz bırakıldığı şiddete, savaş ve çatışmaların ortasında kadınların hedef alınmasına karşı ses çıkarmak suç değildir. Kadın dayanışmasını cezalandırmak, şiddete karşı çıkanları susturmaya çalışmaktır. Üstelik İkra Avcı hakkında açılan davada beraat kararı verilmişken, idari bir kararla mesleğinden ihraç edilmesi hukuk devleti açısından ciddi bir sorun teşkil etmektedir. Tam da barışı ve demokratik toplumu konuştuğumuz bu süreçte, kadınların sesini kısmaya, itirazlarını cezalandırmaya ve demokratik haklarını kullanmalarını engellemeye yönelik uygulamalardan vazgeçilmelidir. Barış; kadınların susturulduğu, itiraz edenlerin cezalandırıldığı bir düzen değil, herkesin düşüncesini özgürce ifade edebildiği ve kadınların şiddete karşı sözünü özgürce söyleyebildiği bir yaşamı kurmaktır. Sağlık Bakanlığı’na çağrımız açık: İkra Avcı hakkında verilen ihraç kararı yeniden değerlendirilmeli ve derhal geri alınmalıdır. Hemşire İkra Avcı görevine iade edilmeli, uğradığı tüm hak kayıpları giderilmelidir.
