Early reading. We have captured 3 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 121 interactions against 681K followers, an engagement rate of 0.018%. Posts are seen about 31K times each, and 0.396% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.49% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.37 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 3 posts sampled, 67% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.0K interactions, about 8.4x its own typical post. Only 3 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 37,856 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 97,248 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 04:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Here is a link to my new paper published recently on the coming AI-driven secular boom, why Tech Trumps Tariffs, why American Exceptionalism is not over and thus the stock market is not in an AI bubble, and why the Exorbitant Privilege of the US Dollar isnโ€™t over and thus US dollar weakness is temporary. https://t.co/FoDrz2twxi

Letโ€™s be honest: This is not some 4D chess move by Trump. He agreed to a vague MoU that kicked the can on many issues because he feared the economic consequences of pressing on with the war and doubted more bombing would bring greater success. He said this himself at the G7. Heโ€™s now reaping what heโ€™s sowed, both in terms of a failed war and incompetent diplomacy.

News from Shitcoins Land : Bitcoinโ€™s price is now lower than its 2021 fall peak. So in the last five years the return to Bitcoin has been negative. And 90% of Bitcoin holders bought at a price higher than the current level. So all these shitcoiner suckers have lost their shirt . And losses are much higher in the other top 10 crypto-craps, let alone in 100s of lesser shitcoins that are down down 95% from their peak or worth 0! And even among meme-coins, Fart Coin - down 95% from peak - has done better than crappy Trump coin and Melania coin that have fallen even more. So Trump got to shaft his MAGA meme-loving base too! ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿคฎ

@stephenwertheim and my new piece in @nytimes : "The unnecessary, unjustified and unlawful war convulsed the region, battered the global economy and exasperated the American public. And yet it may bequeath an accidental gift: a lasting aversion to military conflict with Iran and a chance to replace decades of failed policy with serious diplomacy." https://t.co/TDQFJx7saN

Earlier today, I spoke with the team over @business about the challenging pathway the United States has to impose "never before seen economic isolation" on Iran. While there certainly are measures that Bessent can take to heap additional pressures on the Iranian economy, notable PATRIOT Act Section 311, coercing countries to uncover their links to Iran, potentially even a limited land blockade, the only "real" measure that is likely to even have a remote chance of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat for the Trump Administration is by going after Chinese banks. But while the Trump Administration may have options in which to incentivize countries like Turkiye and the UAE to comply with the American economic warfare campaign, the calculus for China is far different: โ€œNothing the Trump administration can offer is sufficient to ask Xi to kowtow to Trump in such a public and consequential way,โ€ said Brett Erickson, managing principal at Obsidian Risk Advisors and a sanctions expert. โ€œThis is asking Beijing to willingly allow the United States to dictate who they can and cannot conduct business with, and that is a precedent that they have no intention of establishing.โ€ https://t.co/rgBYcSp33S

My new oped: Where Will the Global Bond Rout Hit Growth and Equities? by Nouriel Roubini @ProSyn https://t.co/nVPajXdlP2 In the US, the recent rise in bond yields is largely driven by structural factors like the end of the post-2008 Great Stagnation, higher potential growth from tech-industry investments, and greater private-sector demand for credit. Higher yields are more worrisome for advanced economies that are stagnating and innovating less.

Ranked by total interactions across everything we have tracked for this account, which is a longer history than the 30-day window the rates above use. The multiple compares each post to this account's own median.

Reading these numbers

What is Nouriel Roubini's engagement rate on X?
Nouriel Roubini (@Nouriel) has an engagement rate of 0.018%, based on the median interactions across 3 original posts from the last 30 days against 681,244 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.018%, Nouriel Roubini sits above the 25th percentile of the 37,856 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @Nouriel have real engagement?
There is not yet enough sample to rank this account against others of its size.
When does @Nouriel post?
Most posts go out around 04:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.37 posts per day across the measured window.
